2Enhance your noodles with this simple, spicy, delicious dish. Ideal for a quick mid-week meal, packed with heat and flavour.
Spicy:
Sun Hee Udon Noodles – prepared according to instructions on packet.
1 pack (200g)Vegetable Oil
2 TablespoonsRed Onion – diced
1/2Chopped Garlic
2 TeaspoonsHot Chilli Flakes
2 TeaspoonsSun Hee Light Soy Sauce
2 TablespoonsSun Hee Gochujang Paste
2 TablespoonsWater
1 TablespoonSun Hee Kimchi
4 TablespoonsSalt
1/4 teaspoonCrushed Black pepper
1 TeaspoonTo Garnish:
Finely sliced to garnish
Spring onionsRed Chilli – finely sliced to garnish
1/2 TablespoonsCook Udon Noodles according to the packet instructions.
Whilst the Udon Noodles are cooking, heat the oil in a medium saucepan and add sliced onion and sauté for 2 minutes.
Once the onion is translucent; add the chopped garlic and chillies and stir.
Add gochujang, soy sauce and water and stir well until the sauce has heated through.
Add the drained Udon Noodles to the sauce, stirring to ensure the noodles are covered well in the sauce.
Add kimchi, salt, and pepper and stir again to ensure the kimchi is mixed in with the noodles and sauce.
Garnish with spring onions and sliced red chilli for added spice.
